This page is intended to give answers to the most frequently asked questions regarding the Thumbnail Pages area. If you are looking for an explanation of a reason given for rejecting your page, please look at the Rejection Reasons page

Submission Rules Submitting After Submitting If your question or answer is not listed here please email webmaster@richards-realm.com who will be able to help you. If your question is answered here you will simply be directed back here, so please read through the questions above.

How many pages can I submit a day?
There is currently a limit of 1 submission per webmaster per day, unless you are a Premium Submit Account holder.

Do I need to put up a reciprocal link?
No, but a link would be appreciated.

Am I still able to automatically update the listing for my page?
No, but you can resubmit the page when you've updated it and we'll aim to get it reviewed and listed again very quickly.

Can I submit my page again after it has already been listed?
Yes, but only after 7 days and you must have updated the pictures. You cannot just submit the same page with the same pictures again.

How many banners/links can I use?
There is no maximum number of banners but there needs to be a reasonable ratio of banners to pictures. The actual number accepted for each page is dependant on the quality of the pictures and the page placement and size of the banners.

How many pictures do I need to get listed?
Generally about 10 per page, but see the answer above to the banners question.

Can I use blind/misleading links or consoles?
No, we reject pages with either blind/misleading links on or consoles.

How do I get my page listed?
You need to complete the form here.

Where can I submit the index/main/warning page for my site?
You can submit you site to the Links To Free Pics using the form here.

What does it mean when "Preparing", "Retrieving page", "Checking page" or "Finishing off" failed when I submitted my page?
Each of the terms means the stage which the submission script is working on. If any one of them comes back with "FAILED" instead of "okay" then your submission has not gone through and there should be a reason in bold underneath.

The usual reasons are that you have submitted the maximum number of pages for the 24 hour period, the script was unable to connect to your server and collect your page (it checks it for various things) or you, your site or your host has been banned from submitting. Whatever the reason for failing, it should explain it in the response you receive.

Why does it say I have or my site/host has been banned when I try to submit a page?
Some of the free hosts have been banned because of their misleading advertisements, because they often redirect visitors or delete pages or because they are very slow. We ban webmasters for submitting pages which consistently get rejected (it saves both the webmaster and the reviewers time in the long-run) or for modifying pages sneakily after they have been listed.

How long before my page is reviewed and it is listed?
At the moment, we endeavour to review your page within 24 hours, though we are aiming to have pages reviewed within a few hours. Your page is listed as soon as it is reviewed and accepted.

Will you let me know if my page is listed or rejected?
Yes. You will be sent an email letting you know your page has been listed or rejected. If the page is rejected, you will usually be given a reason for the rejection (these are explained in more detail here).

What does <reason for rejection> mean?
You can get explanations of most of the rejection reasons on this page.

Can I resubmit my page if it is rejected?
Yes, but please make sure you amend your page beforehand so we don't reject it again. You can do it immediately, if you want, there is no need to wait.

How long will my page be listed?
The 1250 most recent pages will be on the main list and pages added in the last week will be on the categoried listings.

Why has the link to my page been removed so soon?
There is a bot which checks every page many times a day. If the bot determines that your page has changed then it will remove the listing for it. This could happen if you change the page, you (or your host) delete it, your free host changes the advertisements on the page or redirects visitors to it.
