General:
From the title of the site you might be fooled into thinking that this site was a site for people with an extremely bizarre and quite frankly worrying fetish for Rain! Oh and don’t ask me what constitutes as cute rain either! Not to worry though as Rain is in fact the rather odd name of the cute brunette who is the star of this site, after getting that confusion out of the way, let’s get on with it!
The site design not only looks great on its own, with the easy on the eye green colour scheme and functional good looking navigation, but when you start exploring the site your eyes are opened to a whole new world of clever flash and JavaScript bits and bobs. It has all been put together beautifully and has all been used to really make the user’s browsing experience much easier and not just to just make boobs fly across your screen and have things popping up left, right and centre that confuse and befuddle the user!
With such a strong start I was just about to come crashing down to earth, I was hoping for the support section to be just as clever and functional as the site itself. It was functional alright but then it is difficult not to make a lowly email link work! Disappointing is all I can say for the support from this site and it really made me wonder why they hadn’t even thought about the support for the members.

Rain is a good looking girl but not absolutely out of this world gorgeous and therefore I suggest having a look at the previews to the right before you take the plunge and join up! You will probably find that she is just your type but better to be safe than sorry; there is nothing worse than joining a site and then finding that the girl in fact makes you feel a little queasy, especially with a solo site as she is all you are going to get!
The content is softcore, with no insertions, but you do at least get full nudity (well I would bloody well hope so otherwise it would be a piss poor porno site). Rain either does her posing on her own or she grabs one of her buddies to pose with her.
There is a games section available from CuteRain.com, now I would usually just skim over this sort of section saying that it is just a bought in extra that doesn’t really add to the site or really fit in with the site. But this time it is different as the games actually interact with images of Rain herself and as you achieve certain things in the game she starts to whip off her clothes. Although not solely worth signing up for it is at least a little something to do whilst you are waiting for your videos to download.
Rain isn’t a lazy bugger either as she does a webcam session twice a week. She does her session on a Tuesday and Thursday at 11pm and you also have the option of going to her webcam archive and watching her previous shows. Because of the relative newness (yeah I know I was surprised that was a real word as well) of this site there is currently only one video in the archive and from this it looked as though Rain doesn’t really give any action during the show which was disappointing but nevertheless the interaction with rain was good to see.
The CuteRain.com team must have read some of my reviews as they are ticking pretty much all of the boxes for a solo site (apart from the damn support….shame on you), and it just goes on with a blog available to members. It is really well designed as you would expect from this site although it doesn’t quite fit in with the rest of the site. The entries are a little few and far between, and to be honest could do with being a little longer with most of the entries only being a paragraph long and at times having an 11 day gap between entries.
Video Section:
The way that the video section works has to be one of my favourite elements of the design and each of the videos are laid out in a mock movie player and by clicking either the Download or View Online it drops down the options available to you without even navigating away from the page. The only criticism I would have of the way this works is that you only get one preview image of the action you can expect and some sort of way to flick through a few screenshots would be something that would be well worth looking into!
You only have full movie downloads which could be a problem for people that want to get some quick action. These full movies are offered in the following download options: HD .Wmv (1920 x 1080 with a bit rate of 4.09 Mbps), High .Wmv (1280 x 720 with a bit rate of 4.09 Mbps), Low .Wmv (800 x 450 with a bit rate of 1.62 Mbps) and IPod (368 x 208). The HD option will require a pc with a moderately good spec as mine did stutter and stall when I tried to watch, but even with mine jumping all over the place I could still see the superb quality that was on offer and was very impressed. The only bizarre thing is that the bit rate, although stupidly high, is exactly the same for the HD and High quality and this just seemed a little silly. They should simply bring the High quality down a peg or two and then have it as a slightly smaller download size.
None of the sets are just in a studio or some mundane boring bedroom and are in fact out and about in the wilderness, on the beach and even, in one case, in the passenger’s seat of a car. This is always something that I like to see and this hopefully means the content won’t get stale and boring. I do feel that this is needed with solo sites and am so glad they have made the effort.
There are currently only 13 videos available, which was a little disappointing, but I suppose because of the fact that it is a solo site and that the videos are shot in such a variety of locations some allowance could be made. But even with this taken into consideration the content could certainly do with boosting and with updates to the videos only coming twice a month it was obvious where the problem lies!
Photo Section:
The first page I was presented with in the photo section was a little disappointing as all you get is an html drop down to choose your sets with. This means you have to click through the different sets in the drop down till you find one you like, rather than simply scanning a collection of preview thumbs!
Once I had found the set I wanted to view the site got back on its old form. The pictures all loaded up using a snazzy (what a great word) flash thumbnail loader with a status bar and then upon clicking one of the thumbs it opens up a rather smart image viewer within the same window but as a floating tool with the site greyed out in the background, if you see what I am getting at. This clever little tool changes the size of the images dependant upon the size of your screen which means you can flick through the images with ease and without having to scroll up and down to see the whole thing. This is superb as with some photos you are forced to scroll up and down. If you want to view the images at full size then you are able to do so by clicking the image. These full size pics are available in 1280 x 851 which isn’t too bad at all.
All of the images had some nice locations and Rain’s (still can’t get used to that name) poses were top class but some, in fact a fair few, of the photos just weren’t that crisp and all of the shots seemed to be a little out of focus.
There are currently 30 image sets available and unfortunately updates only come in once every 8 days. Even taking the same things in consideration as the videos, such as the variety of different locations, this still isn’t often enough in my mind and needs to be doubled before I could even think about giving it the thumbs up!
