General:
This is another one of those mega sites that promises access to loads and loads of other porn sites with just one membership fee, this sounds like one hell of a good deal but unfortunately these site rarely live up to the hype in the promotional bumf. So does AmazingPass.com live up to its promises of access to 140+ sites with one password? Well this type of site is notoriously hard to review but I will do my best…. here goes!
Well to start off, with an interesting lime green and blue colour scheme, I was encouraged by the look of the site. Amazing Pass separates its sites into 12 different genres for you to choose from; with all the usual sections there is pretty much something for everyone on this one.
Ok, to get things straight from the start, as usual with this sort of website the 140+ sites on offer are not full sites on their own and are more like mini sites or galleries linking off of the main site so do not get too excited (actually most of them seem to be sub domains of the main site). With this site I got bored really quickly of having to log into each of the sites separately. You had better make your username and password memorable otherwise you will be copying and pasting ‘til the cows come home.
The navigation of the site does look as if it is going to be nice and handy but, for some reason, it keeps disappearing when you click on certain parts and it appears to keep going from the member’s area to the visitor’s area navigation; this is a little disorientating and did get a little annoying. Another little thing that really annoyed me was the fact that each of the mini sites kept opening up in the same window as the main site which usually ended up in me closing the window and having to log back into the main site. So when browsing this one you will have to right click and open in a new window if you want to browse a few of the sites at a time (a tabbed browser was really handy for this, we recommend Firefox for this).
The help and support consists of an FAQ answering all of the basic questions and a “contact us” link in case that does not help. This is fairly standard for most sites and does not lose them any brownie points but on the other hand does not gain them any either.
Content:
The women are varying in looks and you are not guaranteed what quality of women you are going to get, but this is the nature of the beast. On pretty much all of the sites there were a few lookers that interested me so hopefully you would be able to find a few that will tickle your fancy.
Each of the mini sites on offer have varying amounts of content available but none of them seemed to have an abundance of content and most of them seemed to have very little. Also I did notice a few broken links meaning I was not able to download some content at all; this does not bode well for a review and needs to be sorted if they want to hope to attract and keep members.
The tour offers exclusive content but I have seen quite a great deal of the content before and I doubt that much of it is actually that exclusive.
Video Section:
Most of the content with this site is video, which is not a problem but does need to be pointed out in case you are interested in some photos. All of the videos are of pretty high quality and of a decent resolution (or of what I saw anyway), but be aware of the fact that they are not all 640 x 480 as the promotional spiel promises. All of the Amazing Pass videos do require you to download an encoder before you can view them which is easy to install and Amazing Pass provide lots of links to download it.
Each of the videos come in one of three formats either .avi, .mpg or .wmv and I had no problems with the latter but most of the .avi did not seem to want to work on Windows Media Player, or Quicktime player, and would only work on the Amazing Pass recommended media player, and even then it would warn you that they are broken but still work for some reason. This just isn’t good for any site and, with quite a few of the videos being in .Avi format, is a major downfall for Amazing Pass and needs to be sorted out pronto.
Most of the movies are fairly large in size and the option to download in different formats is not available and the choice of downloading in sections is rare and only used in the DVD section of the site. Due to this, broadband is going to be needed on this one and even then you will be waiting a while for any content, although you can stream as usual but I would not suggest it.
Photo Section:
Right, as I have already said, there are not many photos but the site does not completely lack them; a few of the sites have video screen shots for you to look at and some have photo sets available. The options were a little lacking with no choice of resolution or any .zip download features, it was, as expected with a mainly video site, a little poor.
