The site featuring over 60 well known porn stars and a large selection of up and coming stars in addition. This a good selection of models to wade through on your journey through this massive site. The ‘Vivid Girls’ section provides thumbs of each girl, which click through to a page with a full biography providing statistics for that particular girl accompanied by her achievements and movies she’s stars in. From here you can access her softcore picture galleries, hardcore picture galleries or view her movies. Some of these girls have hundreds of images to view and a good selection of erotic videos to watch or purchase on DVD from the Vivid Store. There’s many other picture galleries and videos for you to view in addition to those linked from the Vivid Girls section, along with ‘Vivid Live’ providing free video chat, links to Adult Games and additional (freebie) sites for you to access like Tickled Pink, Vivid Amateurs, Butt Hunger and others.
Video Section
The movies section offers quite a selection, split into various categories under different titles. These being ‘Vivid Feature Films’, which provides an archive of over 350 full length feature films starring all the main Vivid porn stars. Then there’s ‘Vivid Behind the Scenes Movies’, a real nice section that takes you behind the scenes on the set of a porn movie! Nice stuff! Additionally, you get the ‘Vivid Blooper Movies’ (quite funny!), ‘Webcast Archive Footage’, ‘Amateur Auditions’ and various others that provide additional and smaller movies. There’s also a selection of non Vivid movies to view too. Movies range from small preview clips lasting about 10 minutes right through to full length feature films lasting sometimes over 2 hours long, the quality is very good most of the time when viewed in the smaller screen size of 320 x 240 but when enlarged to full screen the quality is not great unless you site around 6 ft from your Computer’s Display. The movies can be viewed by streaming in a choice of formats, WMV, Real Player and Quick time in high or low speed, however the site does not enable you to download the movies at all to your hard drive. You can, however purchase the movies on DVD, of course at additional cost which I did not like the idea of. Its like a bit of a tease, really as you only stream, and if you want to watch them in your own time, its time to get that credit card out again.
Picture Galleries
The Photo section is split into similar categories as the movies. The main section is called the ‘Vivid Girls’ where you access the girl’s individual pages with a biography, and her softcore and hardcore galleries. Here you will find all the shoots that model has done. The images are pretty decent with some really nice content on offer, although the pictures do tend to vary in size from set to set and I found some of the images were really just too small. One major disappointment, and something I cannot understand at all, is the site has chosen to disable the right click option to save images. This makes using the site a real pain in the ass! I have no idea, why any Paysite should stop its members downloading images to their hard drive. But Vivid have chosen to do this. Be warned! Additional categories to view include ‘Behind the Scenes’ , ‘Video Movie Pictures’, ‘Vivid Press Photo’s’ and the ‘Vivid Niche Galleries’ etc.

Summary
Vivid.com is a pretty impressive site. It’s attractive and professionally designed, and offers its members some good quality content of plenty of well known porn stars. The site is very easy to navigate and features massive amounts of xxx full length feature films for you to view. However, and it’s a big however, the site has 2 annoying traits. Firstly, you cannot download any movies to your hard drive (save them), you can only stream. So in theory, not only do you have to pay a monthly membership fee of $29.99 but if you want to keep any of the movies you view, you will have to purchase them separately from the Vivid Store, Secondly, and this is the biggest problem I see with the site, you cannot save any images. You can only look at them whilst being a member. This is totally unforgivable, and quite frankly, a ridiculous policy. The person who thought this was a good idea at Vivid.com, needs to be sacked. He (or she) is a twit. One last thing here, watch those pop ups when you leave the site. Its one of those sites which thinks it’s a cool idea to piss people off by displaying pop up after pop up when you go away from vivid.com. This really is 5 year old porn practices, and not acceptable in 2005. Webmaster take note!!
