General
Well, if you’re into the Fetish scene in anyway shape or form, then the name Wasteland will be well-known to you and if you’re not into the scene then this is an excellent way to dive into it.
The site itself focuses on the ‘darker side of desire’ what that means when you translate it is kinky fetishes with special reference to bondage and BDSM practises and, erm, fun.
To accurately describe the sheer volume of content on offer here would take me around a month, possibly six weeks – there’s that much of it.
For a place with so much content, this is exceptionally well-organised and laid out. Like a lot of big things, it takes a while to work out the best way to navigate round, but it’s pretty goods fun nosing into all the various sections. It can be a bit intimidating initially, but I found working my way through the Weekly Editions was the best way to hunt down the excellent pics and movies.
As well, as the pics and videos, there’s a big stories archive, links to BDSM resources, knowledge bases and profiles of scene players and photographers. This is a bit of a one-stop shop for kink lovers.
Content
The content here is definitely varied. If there’s a kink you have, then they’ll have a set on it. In these days of very tightly niched sites, this can give the site an unfocused look, especially as there’s no real specific categorisation beyond a section name and the set descriptions within it.
There’s lots of bondage and BDSM, lots of erotic arty BDSM pics and also a highly enjoyable Japanese section with a vast array of genuine Japanese underground shots.
Video Section
Their own video section is great, apart from the fact that quite a few of the movies were in Real Player format, which I’m no great fan of. All of the clips in their section are their own movies of which they have vast amounts and which they are slowly encoding and working their way through adding to the archive all the time. Most of them are BDSM related in one way or another and thoroughly enjoyable, even if you’re not into heavy BDSM.
The movies themselves all have very high production values and for the most part are nicely segmented into easily digestible chunks. As an added advantage, you can also take a look at the pic galleries from the movie shoot, so you know what you’re going to get before you download them.
They also have a few third party movie suppliers, which looked good, but I didn’t take a long look round.
Picture Galleries
The main way to get to the image galleries is through the Weekly Edition, or you can also take a peek in “The Dark Garden” which is a listing of their thousands upon thousands of picture galleries, all with text descriptions. To put it bluntly, most of these images are bloody fantastic and some of the photo work in the BDSM world is amongst the best of erotic imagery. So, as well as getting your rocks off to domination pics, there’s also the sheer pleasure of beautiful photography.
Truly excellent stuff and far too much to take in on one visit – I’ll be going back!
Updates
The site updates weekly, hence the section name Weekly Edition. On average each edition contains 8 to 10 sets, new video clips, stories and other articles.
